Road work

Continuing my series of posts related to my upcoming Great North American Baseball Road Trip… One of my friends, upon hearing of my big driving adventure, said, “Don’t go alone, take Jeremy with you.” It’s probably good advice.  Though the trip is not planned as a book tour (there will be little enough time for… Read more »

Back open for business

After an extended absence for remodeling, What if? is back up for sale in both paperback and e-book forms. Amazon and Booklocker already have their listings updated.  Barnes & Noble and Apple take a little longer. For those of you coming in late, I took all three books off the market while I made some… Read more »

Three out of five is fine with me

A while back, I was involved in a discussion on the nature and desire for reviews with other self-published/indie authors.  A common theme was that any rating below four stars (using the Amazon rating system as the barometer) was a drag on the book’s appeal. The conversation was lively and ran the gamut from “all… Read more »

Where did that come from?

That’s weird. As we all know, What Now?, the final book in the Jeremy Shuttle Adventures trilogy hasn’t been “officially” released.  The revisions I made at the same time as the changes I submitted to Books One and Two are still in production. Can I get back to selling books, please?

I like to think of myself as a patient man, but I am suffering poorly this prolonged delay between the completion and release of the second editions of my books. Part of it is simply the marketing aspect.  After three consecutive month-long giveaways on Goodreads, I am swiftly losing any marketing momentum off those promotions…. Read more »

Good to go

The changes have been made to all three books in the Jeremy Shuttle Adventures series.  All the books are good to go. I’ve submitted all three, though I am still waiting on some final conversation regarding Book One.  Pending that, the trilogy will be up for sale for good. The errors in What if? were… Read more »

Smile at the person behind the counter

And they’re off! The mailing is completed for the second giveaway on Goodreads (50 lucky winners of What Next?, Book Two of the Jeremy Shuttle Adventures). I stuffed the mailing envelopes during the morning and then popped over to my local Post Office after lunch.  I am happy to have  an office just a 10… Read more »

Mailing list fun

The second giveaway on Goodreads is over and it’s time to send out copies of What Next? to the lucky winners. I am excited to be shipping these books out and not just for the chance at more readers leaving reviews.  There are a lot of things I find fun about mailing lists.  I wonder… Read more »

A crying shame

What a waste. It was an ugly experience running through my first book again and correcting the constantly repeated error I made.  Ugly, but necessary. One of the most basic rules of grammar:  punctuation goes inside the quotation marks.  I messed that up on probably 70% of the times it appeared in the book.  70%!!!… Read more »
